Annex III. INSPIRE Dataset for Meteorological geographical features Theme
INSPIRE Dataset for Meteorological geographical features theme consists of actual measurements of precipitation, air temperature, apparent temperature, wind speed, wind direction, wind gust, relative humidity, cloud cover, sea level pressure, and weather conditions. The values of these indicators are obtained from 52 meteorological stations and measured hourly. The dataset also includes the Standard climate normals (1991-2020) which include averages of precipitation, air temperature, duration of sunshine, relative humidity, sea level pressure and wind speed. The data is provided by the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service. Actual weather data will be updated hourly (UTC time zone). In case of disruptions, it will be updated not later than in 4 hours. Data of the Standard climate normals will be updated every 10 years. This dataset is structured according to Application schema “Specialised Observations” (version: 3.0).

INSPIRE dataset for Meteorological Geographical Features theme is using input data sets provided by Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Lithuania: 1) data of actual meteorological observations (parameters: precipitation, air temperature, apparent temperature, wind speed, wind direction, wind gust, relative humidity, cloud cover, sea level pressure, weather conditions); 2) Standard climate normals (1991-2020; parameters: precipitation, air temperature, duration of sunshine, wind speed, pressure and relative humidity).
Actual weather data is updated hourly. In case of disruptions, is updated not later than in 4 hours. Data of Standard climate normals is updated every 10 years.
The output data set is created by Construction Sector Development Agency, Lithuania.
