The Lithuanian Air Quality Monitoring Network consists of 14 urban Air Quality Monitoring stations located in the largest cities and industrial centers, as well as 4 rural background stations, located in rural areas far away from any sources of pollution.

The data set shall include data on emissions to air and water, off-site transfers of hazardous and non-hazardous waste and pollutants in waste water destined for waste-water treatment in excess of the limits established under Regulation (EC) No 166/2006.

The modeling is performed using ADMS Urban modeling system. In accordance with Article 6 of Directive 2008/50/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, the modeling approach may supplement the fixed measurement approach or be used in zones and agglomerations where the pollution level is below the lower assessment threshold and provide adequate information on the spatial distribution of the ambient air quality.
