Annex III. INSPIRE Dataset for Soil Theme
INSPIRE dataset for the Soil theme represents information about the distribution of the major soil types of Lithuania.
The SO.ObservedSoil profile layer is shown at a scale of 1: 25 000, and the SO.SoilBody layer is shown at a scale of 1: 10 000.

INSPIRE dataset for Soil theme is created using soil data from Spatial data Set of Soil of the Territory of the Republic of Lithuania at scale 1:10 000 (Dirv_DR10LT). The National Land Service under the Ministry of Agriculture is the data provider.
National INSPIRE Dataset of Soil Theme consists of four data layers (SoilPlot, SoilBody, SoilHorizon, SoilLayer). SoilPlot (place on which the observation is made) and SoilBody (part of soil body which is homogeneous) data layers have geometry and indicate soil distribution. SoilHorizon and SoilLayer indicate the designation of the soil horizon by The FAO horizon notation and physical characteristics of the soil (for example, depth of the profile element measured from surface).
The output data set is created by State Enterprise GIS-Centras, Lithuania.
